Outdoor exhibition at the Fresia Gardens // Deadline : April 2, 2012 // Application fee : none
With the beginning of 2012 admission to participate in the renewed eleventh edition of ZOOart, the international exhibition of visual arts, is now open.
The exhibitions proposed once again by the association Art.ur for the city of Cuneo will take place as usual during the three first weeks of July in the Fresia Gardens, home of the ex-zoo gardens in the heart of the historical part of Cuneo city. Around 40 young artists, national and international, will be invited to transform the urban gardens with site specific projects including installations, sculpture, painting, photography, drawings, video and performances. ZOOart remains faithful to its style, concerned with the insertion of art within the ordinary cityscape, inspiring creativity within mundane everyday life, developing a relationship between art and society in contrast to the self-referring nature of some contemporary styles.
Candidates can submit one or more proposals of works in the form of sculptures, installations, drawings, paintings, photographic works, videos, performance, audio and new media installations, etc.
Given the large area available sculptures and installations are site specific and must occupy an area of 3m x 3m (exact size will be discussed and agreed upon in more detail with the organizers at a later phase and will depend upon the project) and must be designed for the outdoors as there is no provision for the works to be moved or covered in the event of bad weather.
The works must not in any way subject the public, who frequent the gardens where the works are to be displayed, to any harm.
Visit www.zooart.it for more info.

You really make it seem so simple with your presentation but I find that topic to be really something that I think I would under no circumstances undertsand. It seems too complicated and also really broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
