Grant Cutler is debuting a two-song teaser under the name Weird Visions. The brand new release, Weird Visions 1, is the result of Cutler’s work with Zoo Animal. Weird Visions 1 features the tracks, “Make To It” and “Too Hot,” which layer funky basslines, ambient swirls, and just the right amount of shimmer.
A pivotal figure in the French electronic music scene Arnaud Rebotini burst onto the scene in 1997 with the release of Black Strobe's 'Paris Acid City'. Subsequent releases on labels such as Trevor Jackson's Output established Black Strobe as the dark mirror image to much of their homeland's smooth disco influenced house.
A restless spirit and never one to sit still Arnaud career has taken him from Black Strobe's gothic rock tinged 'Burn Your Own Church' to his more experimental compositions as Zend Avesta and stark industrial and EBM tinged techno he's released under his own name.
Now following the critically acclaimed solo release 'Pagan Dance Move' (releases on The Hacker & Gesaffelstein's ZONE Records) Arnaud has returned to the Black Strobe name and gone in search of the Bayou disco.
With a new album out later in 2013, 'The Girl From The Bayou' is our first taste of Arnaud's latest direction and sees him going where few other artists of his stature would even think to tread let alone dare, producing a stunning mix of swamp rock, gospel blues and disco house.
